Keith Long is a lifelong Cape Coral Resident, Husband, Father of Three, Attorney, and Business Owner who will fight to ensure the future of Cape Coral is supported by sound decision making and fiscal responsibility as we work tirelessly to rebuild our city from the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian.

This City is entering a new era—one full of opportunity—and we need experienced leaders to chaperone this era. As your current Councilman, I have governed with leadership and demanded governmental accountability while serving your interests.

Responsible Growth

It's no secret Cape Coral is facing significant growth. How we manage this growth in the coming years will be critical in shaping this City's identity moving forward—especially after the devastation caused by Ian. As a lifelong resident and business owner, I am perfectly suited to make the difficult yet necessary decisions to rebuild our City stronger than ever in a responsible manner while holding the City accountable as stewards of your taxpayer dollars.

Not only do I vow to keep the beauty and integrity of this city at the forefront of each decision I make--I will do so with your interests at heart.

We WILL rebuild stronger than ever—I promise you that. And I will ensure that our infrastructure is bolstered to meet the demands of this growth in a responsible way, and that our first responders are provided every asset they need to continue to keep this City one of the safest in Florida. All of this while being fiscally responsible.

Protect our Waterways

Our waterways are the heartbeat of this beautiful city. With over 400 miles of canals, we pride ourselves as being America's preeminent waterfront community. With this is mind, it is vitally important we ensure these beautiful yet vulnerable systems do not take a backseat to unrestricted development.

I am proud of my record on protecting our waterways. As your Councilman, I currently sit as a Liaison to the Waterway Advisory Board, and am a Member of the Coastal & Hartland National Estuary Partnership. With your support, I look forward to building upon the momentum I have gained on these efforts over the next four years.

Protecting Tax Dollars

Your tax dollars have been and will always be a top priority. As your Councilman, I helped pass the largest tax rate reduction in this City's history--while also providing additional funding for necessary projects and to increase police and fire staffing to keep this city one of the safest in Florida.

Your hard earned tax dollars did not come easy, and they should not be spent easily. I will continue to hold the City accountable in its spending to ensure that your tax dollars are put to the most efficient and necessary use--to make sure they work to serve your best interests.
